Track Record of Dividend Growth
We have increased our common share dividend every year for the past 51 years, the longest record of annual dividend increases of any Canadian publicly traded company. We aim to grow dividends in-line with our sustainable earnings growth, which is linked to growth from our regulated and long-term contracted investments.
Growing a High Quality Earnings Base
Our highly contracted and regulated earnings base provides the foundation for continued dividend growth. Over the years our continued investment in the Utilities has grown our global rate base to $14.9 billion.
Future Capital Investment
We will continue to grow our business in the years ahead. In the 2023 to 2025 period, Canadian Utilities expects to invest $4.1 billion in regulated utility and commercially secured energy infrastructure capital growth projects. This capital investment is expected to contribute significant earnings and cash flows and create long-term value for shareowners. Of the $4.1 billion planned spend, $3.3 billion will be on regulated utilities.
